Product Bundles
With Trade Trak's Product Bundles feature, you can create and save groups of products which you can then quickly and easily add to your quotes, product orders or material orders.
This feature is extremely helpful if you are regularly using the same products for certain jobs and can help save you time when using Trade Trak.
Create a Product Bundle
To create a product bundle, click on your profile picture in the top right corner to get the dropdown menu. From this menu, select 'Templates', then select 'Product Bundles'.
From this page, you will be able to see all of the product bundles you have previously created.
Using the search bar at the top of the page, you will be able to search for any product bundles you have created. You can also edit or delete any product bundle by clicking on the three dots to the right of the entry. Finally, you can click the 'Create' button on the top right to create a new bundle.
Once you click 'Create', a new screen will pop up. From this screen, you can create your new bundle.
Firstly, you will have to name your product bundle (this is a mandatory field). You can also fill in a description for your bundle if you would like. This will appear in the product bundle list.
Finally, select 'Add Products' at the bottom of the screen to add a new product to your bundle. This will bring up all your currently added products. If you would like to learn how to add a product so it is available for a bundle, you can read our article on it here.
Once you select a product or products you would like to add, click 'Add Products' in the top right corner and they will be added to your bundle.
Once you have added every product you need, click 'Save'.
Adding a Product Bundle to a Quote, Product Order or Material Order
Once you have created your product bundle, you will be able to easily add it to any part of the app that you can add products to, namely Quotes, Product Orders & Material Orders.
When you are creating any of these features, just underneath the line item section, you will see a button that says '+ Add Product Bundle' as shown demonstrated on a quote in the image below.
From this screen, you will have three options. Firstly, you can select a previously created product bundle from the dropdown box labelled 'Bundle'. This will automatically fill the name, description and products fields with all the information and you can simply press ' Select Bundle' to add it to your product section.
Secondly, you can create a new product bundle from this screen by not selecting anything from the bundle dropdown and instead filling out all the fields as outlined in the previous section of this guide. Once filled out, you can select 'Save' and this will make this bundle available in future for easy addition. Alternatively, you can just click 'Select Bundle' and it will add this bundle to the product section without saving it for future use.
The third option is you can select a previously made bundle from the dropdown, and then add or remove products from there. If you do this, you can either click 'Save' to override the current bundle with the new options, click 'Save as New' to create a new saved bundle while keeping the original as an option, or just add without saving again.
Your product bundle will now be added to the product section with each product automatically turned into a line item, the product bundle name turned into the section name and the product bundle description added as the section description as below.
