Create a New User Group
On Trade Trak, you are able to set custom permissions for your users based on the user group you place them in so that you have full control over what features of the app they have access to and what information they're able to view. While the system starts with the default user groups of Admin, Supervisor & User, you can easily create a new user group so you can customise these permissions for a new level of user.
Viewing Current User Groups
To view your current user groups and their permissions, from the dashboard click on your profile picture in the top right corner to open the drop-down menu. From there, open the 'User Roles' menu and then select any one of the four roles settings that you want.
From here, you will be able to see all the current user groups you have.
By ticking or unticking the boxes next the corresponding action, you can set the permissions for all users under each group. You can change the permissions for anything involving general permissions, job permissions, finance permissions and settings permissions.
Creating a New User Group
To create a new user group, simply click on the 'New Group' button in the line with the group titles and confirm.
This will create a new group which you can rename to whatever you would like by double clicking on the title and replacing it with whatever name suits the group you're creating.
Then simply tick the boxes for the permission you would like this group to have.
This new group will now become an option when choosing a role name when you are creating or editing a user.
You can delete a user group by clicking on the 'X' next to the user group title and assigning all existing users in the role to another user group.
