Creating SWMS Templates
SWMS Templates can be created and stored in Trade Trak for easy access in the future.
1) Accessing Templates
To access the SWMS Templates builder, when on your dashboard click your profile picture or name, choose ‘Templates’ and select ‘SWMS Templates’.
2) SWMS Templates
The SWMS Templates page shows you all previously created templates, allows you to view, edit, or delete them, and also to filter the results by words or the date it was created on. You are also able to create new templates here.
3) Create A Template
To create a template, click ‘Create’ in the top right corner of the ‘SWMS Templates’ page.
With this function, you can build a SWMS template from scratch. Start by entering a template name, who this template will be available to from a drop-down menu (company / subcontractors / both) and any additional notes required for the report template.
Then select what personal protective equipment is needed for your SWMS template.
Options:
- Safety Shoes
- Glasses
- Gloves
- Harness
- Hearing
- Respirator
- Vest
- Face Shield
- Hard Hat
- Protective Clothing
- Sun Protection
- Boots
Note: PEE items can be managed (e.g add, delete and edit). To do this, click on your profile picture or name, go to ‘Profile Settings’, select ‘SWMS PPE’ and create as needed. Here you will also be able to change the images for the ones already in the app.
Next, choose which SWMS items you would like to add to your report. You can also add extra item lines if they are needed, or delete the items altogether by using the trash can icon.
Options:
Task [text box]
Hazards & Risks [text box]
Risk score [drop-down menu: Low / Medium / High / Extreme]
Control Measure and Usage [text box]
Residual Risk and Score [drop-down menu: Low / Medium / High / Extreme]
Next, add any attachments that are needed for your SWMS template such as photos, files etc. Add these by dragging the file into the box or browsing files on the computer.
Once complete, press ‘Create’ and your template will be accessible on any job under ‘SWMS’ and then ‘Templates’.
